I am a second year PhD student at the department of Computer Science in the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). My research currently focuses on applications of Semi-Supervised Learning in NLP and Vision tasks. I am supervised by Professor Dr. Cornelia Caragea. I am a graduate research assistant for the semester - Fall 2024.
Before joining UIC am a lecturer in Computer Science at Uttara University, with 3+ years of teaching experience in an academic setup.
I am very enthusiastic about technology which led me to study and work in the ever advancing field of Computer Science. The satisfaction of developing something new or improving the existing technologies motivates me to work in research and development.
My undergraduate thesis was on Human Computer Interaction domain, titled - Augmented Reality Based Lifelogging System for Reminiscence under the supervision of: Professor Dr. Kamrul Hasan and Associate Prof Dr. Hasan Mahmud. Currently I am studying and continuing research on performance enhancement of NLP & Vision models in a Semi-Supervised setup.
I am interested to collaborate on different fascinating and challenging NLP and vision projects. I am self-motivated toward research and confident that my experience and insights can bring a positive change to any research project and expedite the progress towards the goal.
Apart from academic and research experience, I also have some expertise in software development, in particular, Software Quality Assurance at a software development and testing company in Bangladesh.
I consider myself communicative, organized, responsible, studious and proactive. I have strong academic writing skills and can work well with teammates.
